Gecko Press specializes in curiously good books from around the world by established and award-winning authors and illustrators. We publish 10 to 12 books a year, mostly sourced from non-English speaking countries. Our aim is also to take the best of New Zealand and Australian writing and illustration to the rest of the world.
We look for work that is original, non-didactic, child-centred, humorous and entertaining.
We welcome your ideas and submissions, particularly when recommended by an agent or manuscript assessor.
