Gecko Press translates and publishes award-winning, curiously good children's books from around the world. We choose books strong in story, illustration and design, with a big 'heart factor'. 

Our aim is to encourage children to love to read and for our books to be read again and again. 

Every year we publish about 12 books from many parts of the world. We are proud to increasingly work with New Zealand and Australian writers including Joy Cowley, Margaret Mahy, and Gavin Bishop.

The books give the impression of ‘here is something to treasure’, even before the book is read.
